I received my windshield this morning. So after quickly installing it in the "high" position, I took my bike out for a 120 mile test ride. I went on the highway to test it properly, my speed ranged between 75 - 85 MPH (we drive a little faster here in Texas). For reference, I am 6 feet tall. First thing I noticed is that you can see the wind shield flex. This was not detrimental and I got used to it quickly. I suppose I should expect that as this is much taller than the stock. I also noticed that the wind was now hitting the very top of my helmet, above my visor. I also noticed a minor buffeting at speed but it was not bothersome. The noise level was much less than with the stock shield. I noticed a little more wind on the edges of my shoulder than with stock but again, nothing that was bothersome. Finally, the shield is crystal clear (not that you should look through it while riding).
The installation process was very easy. The 4 holes lined up perfectly with the existing screw holes so it was just a matter of removing the 4 screws and putting the new windshield on.
Overall, I think this windshield is an improvement over the stock version, and I would recommend it to all tall riders. (Posted on 11/16/2023)
