As you know, the stock Ducati Multistrada windscreen looks sharp, but is horrendous if you plan to do any serious distance rides. The buffeting is deafening above 70mph, no matter the height.
For those of you deciding between this one and the N20504 (mid size), I have both and they are both a serious improvement over stock. This one, however, is transformative. I'm 5' 10", size XL, and still found myself adjusting the height of the mid screen up a notch or two as there was still a bit more wind noise than I wanted. It's probably due to wind hitting my shoulders so height adjustments didn't make much difference. With this one, though, I keep the screen in the lowest position and it is bliss. The wind noise and buffeting are all but gone. I can hear my bike purr, I hear other vehicles from farther away, and calls and music over the headset are much clearer. I think the extra 1.25" width is where the biggest difference is made. 80mph now feels like 80, not 125 from all the noise. On a side note, going through rain really put the differences in aerodynamics of the VStream compared to stock, on display. It's very obvious the wind is directed to the sides, around the rider. Very little comes over the top and hits you in the head as with stock.
The picture makes it look larger than it looks while you're riding. The top of the screen is still a couple of inches below my eyes at the lowest position, and I don't notice much of a difference in width. Distortion isn't an issue on either. If you're narrower than a 44" R with big shoulders, the N20504 will probably be all you need. For the larger crowd, this is the better choice in my opinion. (Posted on 4/3/2025)
