This particular windscreen exceeded every expectation and I can recommend it 100%! I've had six adventure/touring style motorcycles in the last five years and have a lot of experience with managing airflow. I recognize that a lot of it is due to the size of the rider and also the helmet you are wearing.
I was considering going with a slightly shorter version but I wanted the clear color for great visibility. I used their measuring charts and they stated that the top edge of the windshield should probably not be above nose level. That is accurate with my experience in the past of being able to see over top of the windshield for 98% of your riding. I ride in a spirited fashion most of the time and I really like having a clean line of sight.
I'm 5 foot 6 inches and wear a Shoei Hornet X2 adventure helmet. I enjoy riding all year round in Pennsylvania. I did try another windshield of a shorter brand before I found this one. I was even more disappointed with that windscreen as it provided a lot more buffeting. I found the wind noise and turbulence almost unbearable until I found this windscreen.
Now I get plenty of airflow, but it is managed mostly around the top of my helmet and my torso. I can now hear the sound of the air intake on the bike and that sounds fantastic! Everything is quieter but I still get airflow! I really don't notice the windshield is there at all, which is what you want from all of your equipment. I can ride with my helmet visor down or up with little difference. It performs fantastic in the rain and also illuminates 99% of the insects that would normally be hitting my body and helmet.
On the rare instance I have to look through it, going aggressively up hills and around turns, I can see through it clearly without any distortion on the edges.
I guess the bike probably looks a little better with a shorter screen, but this is certainly not objectionable at all. If I cared mostly about looks, I probably wouldn't be wearing any protective gear either...
One last note. I ride quite a bit faster now with this screen on, and the bike also sounds much better!
A win all around and highly recommended! (Posted on 5/3/2020)
