Maywood, IL -- National Cycle engineers have designed two new windscreens utilizing the stock mounting hardware of the DL1000 but offering much greater highway comfort to accommodate riders of any size.
The cutting-edge VStream’s aeroacoustic contour features a wider profile at the top of the windscreen, which pushes turbulent, noisy airflow to the side and away from the rider’s helmet. This extra width creates a quiet pocket of air, with significantly reduced helmet buffeting for a calmer and quieter ride compared to the stock screen. With a VStream, the DL1000’s highway comfort potential is fully realized.
These windscreens are made from tough 4.5mm FMR hardcoated polycarbonate. State-of-the-art manufacturing techniques combined with this high quality material provides outstanding clarity and strength characteristics unmatched by any windscreen maker worldwide. They are 3X more scratch resistant and have 20X greater crack and impact resistance than other aftermarket windscreens on the market made from commonly used acrylic or "aircraft plastic".
