Description
ZTechnik's GS Fairing Winglets are a replacement for the OEM Cockpit Fairings on the 2013 and later R1200GS (standard) models.
Our GS Fairing Winglets greatly extend the coverage of the OEM deflectors, reducing turbulence in the rider's cockpit for a quieter and more comfortable ride.
GS Fairing Winglets are made from 4.5mm thick polycarbonate for the ultimate in strength and impact resistance. Then they are Quantum® hardcoated for unbeatable scratch resistance and many years of use.
Each Winglet uses sturdy three-point mounting on the OEM attachment points with the bike's original hardware. Installation could not be simpler. This is an easy way to increase the effectiveness of your OEM or ZTechnik Windscreen

I bought a used 2013 GS about a year ago. The wind roar at highway speeds was really bothersome -- even with earplugs. I don't know if it's my height (5 ft. 7 inches) or my helmet (an Arai Signet), but I had to find a solution.
These GS Winglets made a significant improvement. They cut the wind roar by 50% (just my subjective assessment). BTW, the screws that came with the kit require a 3mm allen wrench, not 5 mm as specified in the instructions. (Posted on 5/7/2017) - GS Fairing Winglets Review by Bill S.

I installed the Z5002 GS Fairing Winglets in about 30 minutes on the second try. I found it important to keep all the fasteners very loose until they are all in place, and then tighten them sequentially.
The Winglets look great. They really look like they are OEM. I have found they work very well.
